Description

The Reliant system produces a pure, elemental form of chlorine by electrolysis of salt added to the pool water. After the salt is converted to chlorine and bacteria has been killed, the chlorine reverts back to salt and this process is ongoing. The salt concentration is very low (less than a human tear) and the water feels soft, silky and sparkling clean! Reliant Salt Water Generators integrate advanced electronic technology with robust cell construction. The power supply features open range connections to adapt to any type of installation, LED icons for ease of use and proprietary circuitry for maximum efficiency. Cell construction includes commercial grade titanium cell plates with extra thick housing able to withstand over 100 psi pressure. No safety or performance detail has been overlooked in any aspect of the Reliant system. The secret of the Reliant Salt Generating can be summed up in one word: simplicity. With the smallest number of switching parts and uncompromising electrical protections, Reliant resists the inevitable power surges and harsh conditions that are part of life with any type of outdoor equipment. Easy to understand and to operate, your Reliant System will provide years of trouble free service so you can enjoy the benefits of your pool without interruption.

So when your time comes to buy or replace your salt sanitation system, ask for the most durable system on earth: Reliant. It is the definition of dependable.

In a saltwater pool, salt doesn't need frequent addition, but it's important to monitor the salt level every 2-3 weeks as a best practice. Typically, salt is added only occasionally. After the initial start-up of your saltwater swimming pool, checking the salt level every 2-3 weeks is crucial, as pool salt is primarily lost through splashing, evaporation, or backwashing. If the salt level falls below the recommended range of 3,000–3,500 ppm, it's essential to add more salt to ensure proper chlorine production. Regular monitoring helps maintain water quality and ensures an optimal swimming experience.

Yes, to run a saltwater pool, you will need both a saltwater system and a filtration system. The saltwater system, also known as a chlorine generator, sanitizes your pool water by converting salt into chlorine, while the filtration system effectively cleans and circulates your pool water.

Saltwater pools are easy to maintain, but their corrosive nature requires pools designed specifically for saltwater use. Many above-ground models are not compatible, with most saltwater pools using resin components, which resist rust and corrosion. Models like the Saltwater 5000, Saltwater 8000, Saltwater LX, Saltwater Titan, Saltwater Aurora, and Intrepid are all warrantied for saltwater use. These pools are crafted with durable resin, a hard, heavy plastic material that withstands corrosion.

A dedicated 20 amp circuit would be sufficient to run your above ground salt system efficiently. The manufacturer advises plugging the power cord directly into a standard GFCI outdoor receptacle. All of our above ground salt systems come with a standard 3-prong 110 volt plug end for easy installation. Additionally, it's crucial to check with your township for local electrical codes, as these regulations can vary significantly by location, ensuring compliance and safety in your setup.
